Hi! We're the Speak Up, English language school from Kragujevac in Serbia. Kragujevac is south-east of Belgrade, our capital. Our school is the oldest English language school in Serbia (we've been working for almost 19 years). Our students are of different age groups, 5 to 70 but the core are the ones aged 8 to 18. We've been doing different collaborative projects with schools from around the world for eight years. Our students enjoy doing the projects since that's an opportunity for them to learn about other cultures. You can visit us at one of these web sites:

OCTOBER 2008

Hello!  We are the hosts of the ONE WORLD PROJECT. We are from La Puente High School in La Puente, California, United States of America.  Our class is the intermediate level of English Language Development.  (That means we are learning English as a second language.)  We range in age from 14 to 18. (Except for our teacher!) =)

The students in our class are from a lot of different countries including Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Philippines, Taiwan, and Thailand.  We have lots of different interests including playing soccer, studying,  hanging out with friends, listening to music, watching television and reading.  We also like to use computers, go swimming, draw, play video games, talk on the telephone and text.  In addition, some of us enjoy playing basketball, cleaning, dancing, playing an instrument, exercising, cooking, going paint-balling, and playing handball.  Other interests we have are shopping, eating, going to restaurants, going to the park, going to the beach, taking road trips, and boxing.  Celebrating Halloween in something we are planning to do right now.  Our favorite classes include math, civics, economics, science, history, Spanish, floral design, art, cosmetology, English and physical education and sports.

We'd like to learn more about you!
